YPD Broth is excellent for the propagation and cultivation of yeast， such as Saccharomyces cerivisiae and other yeast organisms. Peptone in the broth provides a rich source of carbon， nitrogen， vitamins and minerals for the organisms. Yeast extract and glucose provide nucleotide precursors and energy sources additional vitamins.
