Used for propagation of lambda phage. The broth contains a large quantity of Tryptone， which will provide the growing organisms with the basic nutrients， and growth factors needed to support growth. Sodium chloride is added to the mixture in various amounts to help maintain the proper isotonic environment for the bacteria during growth phase.
